I loved all of the great parties! (Except, of course, the one at my house that resulted in the police being called and my parents wrecked station wagon!)
My greatest accomplishment since WC:
Completing a half marathon with my sisters in Anchorage, Alaska this past summer!! My mom passed away December 2007 from leukemia. My Dad, sisters, and myself joined the Team in Training for the Leukemia Society last January, and we all traveled to Alaska to complete this race. My Dad ran the marathon while us girls did the half marathon. Our family raised $23,000.00 for the Leukemia Society and were the top fundraisers in the country. It proved to me that you really can do anything, and it was an incredible tribute to my mother.
What I wish I knew then:
How smart my parents really were!
My favorite WC teacher:
Mr. Comiskey-he truly challenged me to "think outside the box."
The person who has influenced me the most:
My amazing mother! She lived life every day to the fullest and without regret. When diagnosed with leukemia, her outlook on life never changed-it was as positive as it always had been. Our family motto became, "There's no place like hope" and she made me see firsthand-it is not the number of years you have, but how you live those years.
What I miss the most from high school:
Seeing so many friends on a daily basis!
Best decision I've made since high school:
My boys!
When I retire, I will:
hopefully travel, travel, travel! And, become the Golden Girls with Stacey and Kris like we have always joked about!
Current Employer
Body One Physical Therapy
The job I would choose if nothing else mattered:
I would love to be a greeting card writer for Hallmark!
Me, my sisters and my mom in 2007-my mom was the most amazing woman in the world!
