Miriam Tabitha Sykes February 19, 1970 - July 3, 2012 MS. MIRIAM TABITHA SYKES, daughter of Eddie Main Sykes, Sr. and the late Lizzie Mae Brooks Sykes was born February 19, 1970, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Miriam attended the Indianapolis Public Schools and was a graduate of Warren Central High School. MIRIAM was named after two strong women in the bible; Miriam was a prophet and an acknowledged leader of Israel. MIRIAM accepted Christ at a young age at Pentecostal Apostolic under Elder John Tyson. Miriam was currently attending Jerusalem Temple Apostolic Church, pastured by Elder Derek Jefferson. Miriam was grateful and appreciative of Pastor Jefferson for the time and attention he showed her, Pastor Jefferson was never too busy. Miriam loved singing with the Praise and Worship Team at the church. MIRIAM had a passion for working with children; she was a volunteer for Community Hospital East and the Children Museum for several years. She was also employed with several Clothing Stores working in the Sales Department. MIRIAM was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. MIRIAM TABITHA SYKES went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the age of 42 years. Miriam was also preceded in death by sister, Marilyn Kay Sykes and brothers, James Edward Sykes and Lee McKinnely Sykes. MIRIAM leaves to cherish her memory: father, Eddie M. Sykes; brothers, Eddie M. Sykes, Jr., Kenneth Sykes and Bryant Sykes; sisters, Yvonne Brown, Margaret Sykes, Melinda Buford and Madelon Sykes-Dawson; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and cherished friends.
